Nova Labs Research is an independent applied AI research lab exploring how capable systems can remain useful without becoming opaque, over-authorized, or more certain than their evidence. Our work focuses on local-first architectures, provenance-preserving evidence, contradiction-aware memory, bounded reasoning, and human review. We treat uncertainty as part of the system’s state—and design for inspection, restraint, and accountable change.
